NovaTale: Legends Came Alive Through Digital Art

The NovaTale project concluded with an inspiring showcase that brought Albania’s ancient legends into the digital age. What began with a simple question — “What if Albanian myths were retold through the eyes of today’s generation?” — evolved into a creative journey celebrating culture, storytelling, and innovation.

During the final event, audiences witnessed the premiere of two animated short films reimagining the iconic legends of Argjiro and Rozafa. These new interpretations combined contemporary visual language with traditional themes, giving timeless stories a fresh voice that resonates with young people.

The presentation was followed by a lively discussion with the talented artists behind the films — Elvin Nuri, Jolin Matraku, and Henri Dimo. They shared insights from the creative process and reflected on the exciting potential of animation and digital art in keeping folklore alive.

The event gathered artists, cultural professionals, and community members in a celebration of the power of storytelling to preserve heritage while embracing new forms of expression. NovaTale proved that myths never fade — they simply evolve.

“NovaTale – New Narratives of Ancient Tales” is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and implemented by FusionACT Centre.
