“One Click – ACT!” Pitching Event

On December 4, 2024, the Pitching Event of the One Click – ACT! project took place, marking a key moment in the journey of young participants who had completed the Innovation Boot Camp. Following an intensive training program in civic engagement, digital tools, and project development, eight youth groups presented their project proposals focused on digital solutions and creative initiatives for community benefit.

Each group delivered a 5-minute pitch followed by a Q&A session with the jury, which included representatives from civil society, local government, and the education sector. Proposals were evaluated based on feasibility, social impact, and innovation.

Three winning proposals were awarded seed funding of 850 GBP each to support their implementation:

• Local Legends – “Talking About the Truth”: A podcast initiative addressing the causes and consequences of migration in Kukës through storytelling and discussion.
• Los Amigos – “Cinema in My City!”: A youth-led project to create a community space for regular film screenings, promoting cultural engagement and informal learning.
• ALPHA – “My Sports Field”: A project aiming to establish a dedicated area for recreational and sports activities, fostering youth wellbeing and community interaction.

The Pitching Event confirmed the transformative potential of youth-led initiatives and reaffirmed the project’s commitment to empowering young people as changemakers in their communities.

“One Click – ACT!” is implemented by FusionACT Centre and Ecologists for the Region, supported by the Alternative Pathways Programme, funded by the UK Government and implemented by the British Council Albania.
